How To Open TP Files

A TP file extension is an MPEG-2 video file format used to record television programs, videos or movies in ATSC standard format. The file type was created by Beyond TV for recording video in digital format from signals that are sent in analog or digital format across a standard TV tuner. TP files collect and store data sent by a transport stream (TS), the standard communications protocol for audio and video data transmission over antenna, cable, or satellite dish. In order to view video recorded in TP format, a specialized receiver is needed that can decode these files. They must be converted to AVI or MPEG to be viewable on more standard multimedia players. There are 6 other types of files that use the TP file extension.
