How To Open TMP Files
DESCRIPTION: A TMP is a temporary file, installed by a software program to create a cache or backup file
A TMP file extension is associated with a Temporary file, a file installed in the operating system by a program to create a cache or backup file. Temporary files are created when a computer’s system architecture does not have enough storage space for a program to run with all of its needed information, when a program does not have the capability of creating enough memory for its tasks, or when it needs to interact with other programs and applications on a computer. Temporary files are meant to be just that – temporary, and deleted when the program is closed. However, some operating systems, particularly Microsoft, do not delete temporary files after usage, and as a result can pile up in the computer’s memory and take up large amounts of space. These files should be deleted routinely.
