How To Open RLE Files
DESCRIPTION:
An RLE file extension is an acronym for a Run Length Encoded file, a compressed bitmap image file that was used with early versions of CompuServe and Windows applications. An RLE file is identical to a DIB file except that it contains different header information, and is compressed using the run length encoding format. The file type stores either 4 or 8 bit per pixel color data, and is the standard image format used by the Utah Raster Toolkit, a collection of applications and C Program machine language to provide management for raster images. RLE files are saved in standard bitmap format, and as such, can be opened by virtually any image editing or viewing software program. There are 4 other types of files that use the RLE file extension. Our developers have not yet tested any applications to open this particular type of file. We recommend that you try one of the applications listed below to open your file. We are always testing more applications, so please check back.Recommended Software
