How To Open RGBA Files
DESCRIPTION:
An RGB file extension is an acronym for a Red Green Blue Alpha raster image file, used by devices running the Silicon Graphics image-editing application, made by Silicon Graphics Incorporated. RGBA file types are identical to RGB files, except that they allow for the images to be blended and composted. Images in RGBA format could be uncompressed or compressed using Run Length Encoding (RLE) format, and could be stored as either monochrome or color files. The file describes the actual description at “byte-level” as a low level specification. RGBA files that are uncompressed contain two parts – a header and the image data. For RLE compressed files, a third part, the offset table, is included between the header and image file that describe what the offset should be to the RLE for each line that is scanned. Our developers have not yet tested any applications to open this particular type of file.
