How To Open QTK Files

DESCRIPTION:

A QTK file extension is an acroynym for QuickTake, a digital bitmap image file taken by Apple’s QuickTake digital camera. A QTK file contains an image of 0.3 megapixels in 24 bits per pixel color format. The QuickTake camera was introduced in 1994, and the QTK file was used by the camera to capture the raw data from the camera’s CCD imaging device. Three versions of the camera were released – the 50, the 150, and the 200 – the 150 is the only camera that could be made compatible with Windows. The other two worked strictly with Apple computers. The camera, and thus the file format, were discontinued in 1997, and are no longer supported, although the software used for the Fuji DS-7 can be used to access the files from a QuickTake 200.
